Avid Foot & Ankle is a full service podiatric center dedicated to helping our patients achieve the best possible foot and ankle health. We create customized treatment plans that are focused on the individual’s needs, condition, and lifestyle. Our practice serves the communities of Little Elm, Prosper, Frisco, Plano and Aubrey! We offer a wide range of foot and ankle treatments with a special interest in sports medicine and both conservative and surgical interventions. Shakoor Badr, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon. Before joining Parkview Regional Hospital, Dr. Badr practiced at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois– one of the state’s best critical access hospitals. He was there since 2018 and gained extensive experience with patients of all age groups in a rural community surgical practice. He has performed over 1,000 colonoscopies and hundreds of major surgeries including gall bladder, hernia, and appendix. . He also performs surgeries to address skin cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, and more. Has a special interest in laparoscopic and acute care surgery and is skilled at treating chronic, non-healing wounds.
